Jackson Hole Town Square
The Jackson Wyoming Town Square has always been the center of activity for the entire Jackson Hole valley. The first commercial buildings appeared over 100 years ago, when Jackson was a tiny cowboy town, with cattle as the local trade. The town has come a long way since, and the face of the Town Square has changed over time. Stores that once served the local ranching community have been replaced by art galleries, boutiques, sport shops, and fine restaurants. However, the Town Square is still uniquely western. Watch a lively reenactment of frontier justice in the Jackson Town Square during the longest, continuously running shootout in the country! From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Jackson Hole Shootout takes place Monday-Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Square.
