Historic Trails

The Most Popular Rocky Mountain Trails

The vast openness of the West recalls a time when pioneers and intrepid adventurers traversed the country on foot, by boat, in wagons, and on horses. The American West was a wild frontier, ripe with opportunities for those with the courage and fortitude to master it. When Lewis & Clark returned from charting the wilderness west of the Mississippi, they brought with them tales of daring and grandeur – inspiring a flood of traders, trappers, settlers, and missionaries to seek their fortunes along Rocky Mountain trails. Although the West is settled today, when the sun begins to melt into the horizon, it’s not hard to conjure up visions of western legends and lore. Why not create your own history on our colorful Rockies trails?
