• From the North (Spokane, Coeur d’ Alene, or Missoula) – Travel through Hamilton, Montana, over Lost Trail Pass, to Salmon, Idaho. Drive on to Challis and Stanley. Travel over Galena Summit to Sun Valley, then through Ketchum and Hailey to Shoshone, the end of the byway. From there, you can proceed to Twin Falls, Boise, or Salt Lake City, Utah.
• From the Southeast (Idaho Falls, ID, Yellowstone National Park, or Grand Teton National Park) – Go from Idaho Falls to Terreton. Then onto Hwy. 28, over Gilmore Summit to Leadore, to Salmon. Travel south to Challis and Stanley, over Galena Summit to Sun Valley, and then Ketchum, Hailey, and on to Shoshone. From here, you can proceed on to Twin Falls, Boise, or Salt Lake City, Utah.
• From Southern Idaho (Twin Falls, Boise, or Salt Lake City, Utah) – Drive from Twin Falls to Shoshone, up Highway 75 to Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum, and Sun Valley. Then over Galena Summit to Stanley, Challis, Salmon, North Fork, Gibbonsville, and over the Lost Trail Pass on to Darby and Hamilton, Montana.
